What are Little Boys Made Of?
Frogs and snails
And puppy-dogs' tails,
That's what little boys are made of.
Our baby boy is growing! He weighed in at 15.5 lbs and was 26 inches long. This last week Keith got his latest shots. When he saw the doctor he could sit up for only a second by himself. Mommy told her that we would work on it. Keith can now sit for several minutes by himself! Way to go baby boy!!!
The bottom two front teeth are making their way into his mouth. And, fyi, peas with oatmeal cereal and milk doesn't taste very good. At least according to Keith. Mike thought that sounded pretty gross too. But carrots, rice, butternut squash, applesauce and pears are pretty good eats.
Just so you know, having something to hold on to and put in your mouth, is way more interesting than just sitting there and having only fingers and toes to stick in your mouth.

April Fools Fun
We had a fun April Fools last Friday. It all started with Chocolate Cake for breakfast! The kids thought that was really cool. Mike got them to sing, "Dad is great! He gives us chocolate cake!" For dinner, we had Thai Peanut Noodles, twisted bread sticks, salad, and decorated with paper lanterns.
The dinner was themed for our evening movie that we had just picked up, Tangled, but Mike redid the cover as "How to Train Your Pet Rock." The cover is illustrated below. The kids thought that sounded hilarious and were excited to watch it. Of course it started with a bunch of previews so that when the movie Tangled started, they thought it was another preview. After about 15 minutes Jon said, "Wow, this is a really long preview" So we said "April Fools!" What was really funny was that when we got to the end of the movie, the kids were asking when we were going to watch "How to Train Your Pet Rock." Guess we'll have to make the movie ourselves some time.

Just Growin'
Keith started solids this last month. He wasn't impressed with the first taste.
It wasn't so bad by the end. He ate it all gone!
The kids love picking "flowers" outside. Clovers are one of their favorites. Mommy doesn't mind one bit when they are picked, plus she gets sweet little bouquets picked by sweet little hands.
We've also had fun picking salads and carrots from our garden.
Here's a crazy carrot that was growing in a planter box outside. We thought it was so funny how long it got, even though it couldn't go down very far.
Yesterday we even picked a bowl full of strawberries!
Jon and Rebecca had Piano Evaluations on Saturday. They both got lots of Superiors. Jon had to memorize two pieces, plus a Sonatina, which was like another three short pieces. Rebecca also had two pieces to memorize. Add to that all of their scales, arpeggios and chords that they were also tested on. They did theory tests too. They did an awesome job on everything. Their teacher was bursting with pride when she told us how well they did.
Way to go!!!
